Your recovery is our only priority.
Camissa receives one client, or one family, at a time, so your care never competes with anyone else’s.
There is no ward and no schedule shared with strangers. The residence, the clinical team and the days themselves are arranged around you and what recovery asks of you, and all of it stays private.
Nobody comes here to be seen or to do business, and nobody comes for a holiday. People come for their health, and to rebuild the life waiting for them at home.
Who comes to Camissa
- For yourself
- You may have tried to stop and found you couldn’t, or you may be worn down past the point of carrying on as you are. Either way, you can write to us before anything is decided.
- For someone you love
- Many first enquiries come from a husband, a wife or a parent. We can talk with you before the person you are worried about is involved at all.
- For a client
- Physicians, family offices and lawyers can refer someone in confidence, with or without their name at first.
The name
Camissa is an old Khoekhoe name, usually translated as “place of sweet waters”, for the streams that run off the mountain to the sea. Fynbos stains that water the colour of strong tea.
The estate from above
How the house, the villas and the spa sit on the land, between the ridge and the sea.
